Overview

Dr. Swetha Sampathkumar is a Postdoctoral Research Associate (2023-26) working on the FLOURISH project at DECIPHer (Centre for Development, Evaluation, Complexity and Implementation in Public Health Improvement) within the School of Social Sciences, Cardiff University, Wales, United Kingdom. Dr. Sampathkumar finished her PhD in Health Sciences at the University of Warwick, UK, during which she co-developed and tested a lifestyle intervention to prevent Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) among Indian women using inter-disciplinary, bottom-up approach of using mixed methods health research. Dr. Sampathkumar’s research interest is effective co-development and implementation of behaviour change and health promotion interventions based on mixed methods healthcare research to primarily prevent and treat crucial health conditions and inequalities in low resource settings, especially Low- and Middle-income countries (LMICs).
