Overview

I am a postdoctoral researcher interested in diffusion magnetic resonance spectroscopy (dMRS), diffusion MRI (dMRI), and computational biophysical modelling of brain microstructure. My research focuses on understanding fine-scale cellular structures, water exchange, and tissue organisation in the brain, and on developing advanced MRI methods and models to probe these features non-invasively.

Currently, I am a Lead Scientific Researcher in the DEPICT project, where we investigate microstructural changes associated with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and Parkinson’s disease (PD). My work involves developing and applying advanced diffusion MRI acquisitions and biophysical models to characterise brain microstructure and identify quantitative markers of disease-related changes.

More broadly, I am interested in bridging MRI measurements with underlying cellular and biophysical mechanisms, combining experimental MRI, computational modelling, simulations, and quantitative image analysis to improve our understanding of brain structure and pathology.
