Overview
I'm a Research Associate with a background in Health Psychology. I'm also the Academic Lead for Patient and Public Involvement in the Wales Cancer Research Centre. I'm based in the Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis (SPED) team. My doctoral degree focused on understanding the psychosocial influences on quit motivation and smoking cessation among older smokers from deprived backgrounds.
My research interests include lung cancer screening and smoking cessation with a particular focus on reducing health inequalities. My role as Academic Lead for PPI sees me working with the Wales Cancer Research Centre Research Partner Group on improving equality and diversity in PPI.
