Biography

Dr. Surender Subburaj is a dedicated researcher with a strong academic background in physics and material science. Pursuing his passion for advanced materials, Dr. Subburaj completed his PhD in Material Science at Anna University, Chennai, India, in 2018. His doctoral research focused on compound semiconductors, specifically their growth using Metal-Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD), followed by characterization and the fabrication of optoelectronic devices.

 

Currently, Dr. Surender is a Research Associate at the School of Engineering, Centre for High Frequency Engineering (CHFE), Cardiff University. His work centers on the cutting-edge field of fast-switching cubic Gallium Nitride (GaN) micro-LEDs. With a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of semiconductor materials, Dr. Surender continues to contribute to the advancement of high-frequency engineering and optoelectronic technology.
