Biography
My Higher Education career began in 2013 when I worked as Programme Director for the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) department at Regent’s University London. Here I managed a team of EAP tutors to deliver a range of Academic skills programmes to international students. My role also involved developing and delivering Teaching and Learning CPD for the Regent’s Institute for Language and Culture. I was also involved in managing some of the Institute’s international partnerships and participated in global networking opportunities in India (teacher development), South Korea and Colombia (exchange programmes).
In 2016 I returned to Cardiff, my hometown, and started working as Programme Coordinator in the English Language Programmes division. This role involved overseeing the management, development and delivery of the Pre-sessional programme. Key to this role was curriculum and assessment development, as well as line managing a team of up to 25 Pre-sessional tutors during programme delivery. In 2023 I started my fellowship journey and gained a deeper interest and understanding in principles of teaching and learning. This encourged me to apply for a secondment in the LTA where I am currently working as Education Developer (Assessment and Feedback)
