Overview

I am a Graduate tutor and PhD student in the School of Modern Languages. From 2012 to 2018, I completed two bachelor's degrees at Shandong University of Arts and Griffith University, and a master's degree at the University of Technology, Sydney, they were all related to film production and media studies. My study experience in different cultural backgrounds of China and Australia has given me a certain understanding of Chinese and Western humanistic culture, film culture, film technology and many other aspects. 

Right after I graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney, I started my career in China Report with China International Publishing Group as a film and television program director and producer until 2021. I have produced several intercultural media products to promote cross-cultural communication.

Research

Research interests

My research interests are mainly focus on Chinese film and television products. My research aims to situate the construction of contemporary Chinese international co-produced documentary from the point of view of cross-cultural communication, as well as to explore the interaction of actors (directors, producers, etc.) from different cultural background in production and industry.

Based on my working experience in the film and television industry, I also maintain a high degree of interest in the practice of film and television.

Teaching

I am currently teaching the semminars on the Introduction to Translation Theory, which aims to take students on an in-depth exploration of how language and translation play a distinctive role in intercultural communication and within national spaces from the perspective of translation practice, cultural studies. The main topics taught are as follows:
