Overview
I am a lecturer in Pharmacy Practice at the Cardiff University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and I am Programme Director of the postgraduate Independent Prescribing programme. I am also an Associate Course Director for the postgraduate diploma in Clinical Pharmacy.
My MPharm undergraduate teaching contributions include health psychology, behaviour change and advanced consultation skills. I also teach research methods at postgraduate level. Previously I have served as an academic member of the School’s Research Ethics Committee

Research
Research interests
My research interests are focused on experiences of healthcare; both from the patient and healthcare providers' perspective. This includes application of concepts within health pyschology and behavioural change theory, inclusive healthcare including patient choice and preferences for healthcare service provision, and experiences of working cultures within healthcare. I also have a keen interest in the development and application of Independent Prescribing (IP) and advanced consultation skills in pharmacy, linked to my role as Programme Director of the IP course.
