Fy uchelgais yw dod yn academydd sefydledig ym maes bioddeunyddiau, trwy ddarparu rhagoriaeth ymchwil ac addysgu effaith uchel. Fi yw arweinydd y Grŵp Ymchwil Biomaterials yn yr Ysgol Deintyddiaeth, Prifysgol Caerdydd a chyfarwyddwr y rhaglen MSc Peirianneg Meinweoedd a Meddygaeth Adfywiol. Mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn cynnwys: dylunio, datblygu a phrofi dyfeisiau meddygol a bioddeunyddiau; mabwysiadu dull rhyngddisgyblaethol o ymchwilio drwy gydweithio gwyddonol academaidd a diwydiannol; deall a gwella darpariaeth cyffuriau ac agweddau gwrthficrobaidd ar fioddeunyddiau; deall a gwella'r rhyngweithio rhwng dyfeisiau meddygol, meinweoedd a chelloedd. Mae fy meysydd diddordeb penodol yn troi o gwmpas defnyddio haenau lipid a systemau cyflwyno i wella osseointegration ac atal heintiau deunyddiau orthopedig a deintyddol.
