Mae fy ymchwil presennol yn canolbwyntio'n benodol ar fywyd diweddarach, technolegau cymdeithasol a gofal yn y gymdeithas rwydweithiol, gyda phwyslais arbennig ar sut mae technolegau cysylltedd yn cyd-lunio perthnasoedd cymdeithasol ymhlith oedolion hŷn. Rwy'n ymchwilio i gysylltedd cymdeithasol ar draws profiadau amrywiol ac amgylcheddau adeiledig, gan gydnabod bod ymgysylltiad technolegol wedi'i ymgorffori'n gynhenid, wedi'i leoli o fewn cyd-destunau corfforol a chymdeithasolddiwylliannol penodol. Mae fy ymchwil wedi'i leoli ar groesffordd cymdeithaseg, technoleg ac astudiaethau heneiddio. Mae gen i ddiddordeb arbennig mewn cynnal ymchwil ar sut mae technolegau cysylltedd yn cyd-lunio perthnasoedd cymdeithasol ymhlith oedolion hŷn.
Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n datblygu dwy agenda ymchwil: (1) cysylltedd cymdeithasol amlsynhwyraidd ac arteffactau technolegol ar gyfer anableddau, a (2) technolegau ar gyfer dementia.
Newydd gwblhau prosiect ymchwil (Cronfa Arloesi Cymru) a oedd yn ceisio sefydlu fframwaith sylfaenol ar y cyd ar gyfer deall tirwedd gymhleth mabwysiadu technoleg gynorthwyol ymhlith pobl sy'n byw gyda dementia. Trwy gydweithio unigolion sy'n profi dementia'n uniongyrchol, a gweithwyr proffesiynol o sefydliadau trydydd sector, nod y prosiect oedd mapio'n gynhwysfawr yr anghenion, yr heriau a'r rhwystrau y mae pobl amrywiol sy'n byw gyda dementia yn dod ar eu traws wrth ymgysylltu â thechnolegau cynorthwyol.
Rwyf wedi bod yn PI ac yn gyd-ymchwilydd mewn gwahanol sefydliadau yn genedlaethol ac yn rhyngwladol (e.e. Mwy o Fywydau Gwell Blynyddoedd – Menter Rhaglennu ar y Cyd (JPI), Cyngor Dinas Barcelona, R&D&I-SBAEN, Cronfa Rhwydwaith Arloesi Cymru (ENNILL), GW4, Fundació LaCaixa / ACUP).
Ochr yn ochr, rwyf wedi datblygu arbenigedd cadarn mewn dulliau ymchwil digidol. Fy niddordeb yw datblygu dulliau digidol arloesol, creadigol ar y cyd ymchwil a chyd-ymchwil gyda grwpiau o bobl sydd heb gynrychiolaeth ddigonol yn draddodiadol mewn ymchwil.
Addysgu
Fi yw cyd-gynullydd y modiwlau "Cymdeithas Ddigidol: Theori, Dull a Data" ac "Ymchwiliadau Cymdeithasegol". Rwyf hefyd yn addysgu mewn sawl modiwl israddedig ac ôl-raddedig arall o SOCSI ac yn goruchwylio myfyrwyr UG, PGR a PhD.

Rwy'n ymchwilydd rhyngddisgyblaethol sy'n hyrwyddo agenda ymchwil arloesol ar groesffordd cymdeithaseg, gwyddoniaeth a thechnoleg, ac astudiaethau heneiddio. Mae fy nhaith academaidd unigryw wedi llywio fy ymagwedd at ymchwil gymdeithasol. Gan ddechrau gyda chefndir Celfyddydau Cain ac Amlgyfrwng, lle archwiliodd fy nhraethawd doethurol ryngweithiadau cymdeithasol digidol mewn gwaith celf trwy ddamcaniaethau athronyddol a chymdeithasegol ôl-fodern, darganfyddais fy angerdd dros astudio rhyngweithio dynol mewn mannau digidol. Ategwyd y newid hwn gan BSc mewn Cyfathrebu (UOC, Sbaen) gyda sylfeini cryf mewn cymdeithaseg a dulliau ymchwil, ac MRes mewn Cymdeithaseg o Brifysgol Caerfaddon .
