Timau a rolau for Roser Beneito-Montagut
Darllenydd
Trosolwyg
Rwy'n Ddarllenydd mewn Cymdeithaseg ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd, yn arbenigo mewn cymdeithaseg ddigidol gyda ffocws ar heneiddio, gofal a chysylltedd cymdeithasol yn y gymdeithas rhwydwaith. Mae fy ngwaith yn gofyn cwestiwn syml: beth mae'n ei olygu i gymdeithasu, byw, heneiddio a gofalu mewn byd digidol a phwy sy'n cael ei adael ar ôl?
Mae fy llwybr i gymdeithaseg yn rhyngddisgyblaethol ac anghonfensiynol. Hyfforddais yn gyntaf fel cerflunydd ac artist cain ym Mhrifysgol Polytechnig Valencia, a dechreuais ddysgu ym Mhrifysgol Miguel Hernandez fel darlithydd cerfluniau a chelf ddigidol. Yna, es ymlaen i ddysgu a chyfarwyddo rhaglenni ôl-raddedig mewn Amlgyfrwng ym Mhrifysgol Agored Catalwnia (UOC) yn Barcelona. Yn y DU, cefais gymrodoriaeth ymchwil yn Ysgol Fusnes Prifysgol Aston lle gweithiais ar gyfryngau cymdeithasol, Web 2.0 a gwytnwch y cyhoedd i drychinebau. Symudais i Gaerdydd yn 2014. Rwy'n ymchwilydd cysylltiedig yn y Ganolfan Ymchwil Gofal Cymdeithasol i Oedolion (CARE). Rwyf hefyd yn Ymchwilydd hirsefydlog yng ngrŵp ymchwil CareNet yn yr UOC (Barcelona).
Mae'r llwybr anarferol hwn - o gelf i amlgyfrwng i gymdeithaseg - yn siapio'r ffordd greadigol, materol sylwgar a methodolegol arloesol rwy'n mynd i'r afael â'm hymchwil a'm haddysgu.
Gan dynnu ar theori gymdeithasol, dulliau digidol arloesol a chyd-gynhyrchu parhaus gyda phobl sy'n byw gyda dementia, oedolion hŷn a chymunedau heb eu gwasanaethu, mae fy ymchwil yn archwilio sut mae technolegau yn siapio bywyd bob dydd, perthnasoedd ac anghydraddoldebau. Mae gen i ddiddordeb arbennig yn y dimensiynau cymdeithasol a materol o gysylltiad digidol, sut mae smartphones, dyfeisiau cynorthwyol, technolegau cartref clyfar ac arteffactau amlsynhwyraidd yn cael eu hymgorffori mewn cyrff, cartrefi a pherthnasoedd gofal, a pha ganlyniadau i'r rhai sydd fwyaf aml wedi'u heithrio o ddyfodol technolegol.
Ochr yn ochr â'm hymchwil sylweddol, rwy'n cael fy nghydnabod yn eang am fy nghyfraniadau i arloesi methodolegol. Rwyf wedi arloesi dulliau ethnograffig digidol a thîm, dadansoddiad ansoddol o ddata olrhain digidol, a chyd-ymchwil gyfranogol gyda chymunedau anabl.
Mae fy ymchwil bob amser mewn deialog ag addysgu, ymgysylltu â'r cyhoedd a pholisi. Rwy'n goruchwylio pum myfyriwr PhD, yn addysgu ar draws rhaglenni israddedig ac ôl-raddedig mewn cymdeithaseg ddigidol a dulliau ymchwil, ac yn cydweithio'n weithredol â sefydliadau'r trydydd sector, ymarferwyr gofal cymdeithasol a llunwyr polisi yng Nghymru, y DU ac Ewrop.

Ymchwil
Mae fy ymchwil yn eistedd ar groesffordd cymdeithaseg, gwyddoniaeth a thechnoleg, ac astudiaethau heneiddio, gyda ffocws parhaus ar sut mae trefniadau cymdeithasol-dechnegol yn siapio perthnasoedd cymdeithasol, bywyd diweddarach a gofal. Mae gen i ddiddordeb arbennig yn sut mae technolegau a dyfeisiau cysylltedd yn cael eu hymgorffori mewn amgylcheddau a chyrff bob dydd, gan gynnwys AI, a sut mae technolegau yn cyd-siapio emosiynau, perthnasoedd ac arferion gofal ymhlith oedolion hŷn a phobl anabl.
Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n datblygu dwy brif agenda: cysylltedd cymdeithasol amlsynhwyraidd ac arteffactau technolegol, a (2) technolegau ar gyfer dementia, lle rwy'n archwilio sut mae dylunio, seilwaith a lle yn galluogi neu'n cyfyngu ar gyfranogiad cymdeithasol a chynhwysiant ystyrlon.
Prosiectau ymchwil a ariennir ar hyn o bryd:
- Prosiect Rhaglen Ymchwil SmartCare at Home / NIHR ar gyfer Gofal Cymdeithasol (dyddiad dechrau 1 Ebrill 2026)
Ar y cyd â Dr Sofia Vougioukalou mae'r prosiect hwn yn archwilio sut y gall technolegau clyfar cost isel gefnogi byw'n annibynnol, sy'n gysylltiedig yn gymdeithasol i bobl â dementia gartref. Gan weithio gyda phobl sy'n byw gyda dementia, gofalwyr a gweithwyr gofal cymdeithasol proffesiynol, mae'r astudiaeth yn cyd-ddylunio ac yn asesu atebion SmartCare cynhwysol, fforddiadwy y gellir eu hymgorffori mewn ymarfer gofal cymdeithasol bob dydd - Technolegau Gofal Clyfar ar gyfer Heneiddio yn eu Lle: Adeiladu Partneriaethau rhwng y DU a'r UE ar gyfer Arloesi Dementia / Pwmp-priming a ariennir gan yr Academi Brydeinig (dyddiad dechrau Gorffennaf 2026).
