Mae Martin Kitchener FCIPD FLSW FAcSS yn athro rheoli yn Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd ac ef oedd cadeirydd Tasglu Cymdeithas Siartredig yr Ysgol Busnes ar Ysgol Busnes a Lles y Cyhoedd. Mae hefyd yn gwasanaethu fel Cadeirydd Triathlon Cymru, ac fel cyfarwyddwr anweithredol Triathlon Prydain.
Am fwy na deng mlynedd ar hugain, mae Martin wedi cynnal ymchwil a ariennir yn allanol ar lywodraethu, newid a pherfformiad gwasanaethau cyhoeddus. Ar hyn o bryd mae'n astudio datblygiad sefydliadau pwrpasol ac mae'n arwain dwy astudiaeth o'r sgiliau sydd eu hangen ar weithwyr proffesiynol i gyd-gynhyrchu gwasanaethau cyhoeddus mewn cydweithrediad â dinasyddion. Mae'r gwaith hwn yn ymestyn ymchwil a gynhaliwyd gan Martin ar astudiaeth fawr Horizon 20/20 yr UE o arloesiadau gwasanaeth cyhoeddus Ewropeaidd sy'n seiliedig ar syniadau o gydgynhyrchu a gwerth cyhoeddus (COGOV). Cyhoeddir allbynnau ei ymchwil yn eang (gweler tab ymchwil) ac maent wedi cael cryn effaith ar ymarfer a pholisi.
Yn 2018-19, roedd Martin yn Gymrawd Ymweld yn Ysgol Fusnes Said a Choleg Harris Manchester, Prifysgol Rhydychen. Rhwng 2012 a 2018, bu'n gwasanaethu fel Deon Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd a dyluniodd ei Strategaeth Gwerth Cyhoeddus nodedig. Rhwng 1999 a 2007, bu Martin yn gweithio ym Mhrifysgol Califfornia (Berkeley a San Francisco) lle bu'n astudio prosesau newid sefydliadol mewn gofal cymdeithasol, canolfannau iechyd academaidd a deintyddiaeth.
