Ymunais ag Ysgol Pensaernïaeth Cymru, Prifysgol Caerdydd, yn 2022. Rwy'n bensaer, academydd ac ymchwilydd sy'n arbenigo yn yr amgylchedd adeiledig cynaliadwy, gyda ffocws penodol ar ansawdd amgylcheddol dan do (IEQ), ymddygiad defnyddwyr, tai, iechyd a lles. Mae gen i dros 25 mlynedd o brofiad cyfunol ar draws ymarfer pensaernïol, arweinyddiaeth academaidd ac ymchwil rhyngddisgyblaethol.
Mae fy ngwaith yn nodedig yn ei bwyslais cryf ar gyd-gynhyrchu cymunedol ac ymgysylltu â pholisi, gan archwilio sut mae arferion diwylliannol, ymddygiadau domestig a phrofiad byw yn dylanwadu ar berfformiad adeiladu a chanlyniadau iechyd. Mae fy ymchwil yn mynd i'r afael ag anghydraddoldebau tai, yn enwedig mewn perthynas ag ansawdd amgylcheddol dan do mewn aelwydydd agored i niwed ac ethnig amrywiol. Adlewyrchir perthnasedd ac effaith y gwaith hwn yn fy mhenodiad fel Cynghorydd Arbenigol (aelod o'r Grŵp Cynghori Allanol) i is-grŵp CCESRA Llywodraeth Cymru ar gyfer Cynllun Gweithredu Gwrth-hiliaeth Cymru, a thrwy fy ngwaith cynghori a chydweithredol gyda sefydliadau fel EYST Cymru, cymdeithasau tai, awdurdodau lleol a phartneriaid iechyd.
Ochr yn ochr ag ymchwil, rwy'n chwarae rôl arwain weithredol o fewn yr Ysgol. Rwy'n Arweinydd Edau Technoleg Pensaernïol ac Uwch Diwtor Personol yn WSA, gan gyfrannu at brofiad dysgu myfyrwyr trwy ddiwygio'r cwricwlwm, datblygu staff a chryfhau systemau cymorth i fyfyrwyr. Rwy'n ymrwymedig i addysgu dan arweiniad ymchwil ac i integreiddio technoleg, dylunio a chyd-destun cymdeithasol mewn addysg bensaernïol. Cydnabuwyd fy nghyfraniadau i arweinyddiaeth addysgol a gwasanaeth sefydliadol drwy'r Wobr Cyfraniad Eithriadol, Prifysgol Caerdydd (2024).
Cyn ymuno â Chaerdydd, gwasanaethais fel Pennaeth Cyswllt yr Ysgol Addysgu, Dysgu a Phrofiad Myfyrwyr yn yr Ysgol Celf, Dylunio a Phensaernïaeth, Prifysgol Plymouth, lle roeddwn hefyd yn arwain y ffrwd Dechnoleg ar gyfer y rhaglenni BA Pensaernïaeth a MArch ac roeddwn yn Arweinydd Rhaglen ar gyfer Technoleg Bensaernïol a'r Amgylchedd. Mae ei rolau cynharach yn cynnwys Tiwtor mewn Technoleg Bensaernïol ym Mhrifysgol Caeredin ac Athro Cysylltiol yn Ysgol Pensaernïaeth MSRIT, Bangalore, India. Ochr yn ochr â'r byd academaidd, cyfarwyddais practis pensaernïol sy'n cyflwyno tua 120 o brosiectau wedi'u hadeiladu.
