Overview
Students of pharmacy and biomedical science need a basic understanding of the medicine development and regulatory review process. Gamification is one approach for engaging students in this subject matter. I developed the MeduMaZe(R) board game for this purpose and it has been used for several years at Cardiff University and elsewhere. I propose to formally document the development and testing of an upversioned edition of this game, drawing on my experience in pharmaceutical R&D in the US and UK, together with input from subject matter experts in industry and academia.
