Overview
Shenaé is a PhD student from Jamaica. She has worked in the Criminal Justice and Criminology field, contributing to research on the penal system, child incarceration, organised crime and drugs and harm reduction.
Shenaé holds a BSc (Hons) in International Relations and Criminology from The University of the West Indies Mona Campus in Jamaica, an MA in Criminal Justice and Criminology (Distinction) from Swansea University and an MSc in Social Sciences Research Methods (Criminology) from Cardiff University. Her PhD research will explore the Jamaican prison system with an emphasis on decarceration, decolonisation and the safeguarding of children who come in contact with the system.
