Research
My current research focuses on sleep and memory, with an emphasis on processes that contribute to creativity. I am particularly interested in the neural plasticity associated with this and how we can use sleep engineering to enhance these processes. I am also interested in emotional memories and how we might be able to use sleep engineering to improve psychiatric symptomatology. I have previously investigated the genetic links between preterm birth and neurodevelopmental disorders and the psychiatric symptomatology associated with dystonia.
